POSITION SUMMARY

Utilize your Leadership skills to lead a diverse team of professions as Director of Intake/Admission sand become part of theleadershipteam. Report directly to the CEO and become a memberof the hospital leadership team.

The opportunitiesandresponsibilitiesforthe position of Intake/Admission Director include providing call management, responding to crisis calls, completing and oversite of clinical evaluations for level of care, staffing directly with physicians,and oversite ofalladmissions and referrals. Intake/Admission Director provides direction todiverse

Intake professional staffas well as providing and guiding vision for the department. Director of Intake/Admission assures easy access to behavioral health needs for patients, families, and external referral sources.

Director is responsible for the department's budget, departmental policies and procedures, assures departmental regulatory compliance, service excellence, and data management/analysis. Working within an environment of care where service excellence and patient care is primary.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Excellent communication skills, i.e.,verbaland written. Ability to prioritize; work well under periods of high stress and pressure. Ability to multi-taskand demonstrate critical thinking skills. Demonstrates an understanding of funding entities. Through knowledge of psychiatric services provided by hospital. Ability to work flexible hours. Requires a basic understanding of computers; and accurate data entry skills. Knowledge of insurance contracts and payors. Knowledge of precertification for level of care.

Experience gathering and documenting medical information and psychiatric clinical data. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addition and recovery field. Excellent telephone and customer service skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, visitors, families, and referral sources.

Education:

LCSW, Ph.D.,ie Registered Nurse-(Bachelors or Master's) prepared from an accredited college or university. Previous experience in Mental Health related field preferred. Ph.D. or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university of social work, psychology, mental health or related field.
