Behavioral Health Therapist – Healthcare

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Counselor to join our patient-centered behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide individual, family, and group counseling, complete psychosocial assessments, and develop evidence-based treatment plans. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to support integrated, community-based care. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, safety planning, patient and family education, and thorough documentation in the EHR.

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling using evidence-based practices
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop patient-centered treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members on care plans
• Document all clinical encounters in the electronic health record accurately and timely
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed
• Educate patients and families on coping strategies and available community resources
• Participate in case conferences and quality improvement activities
• Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards
