Community Health Partnership of Illinois is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented professional to join our team in a patient-facing role focused on delivering exceptional service and support. In this position, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping to create a welcoming experience while ensuring accurate information, efficient scheduling, patient registration and smooth coordination of administrative needs.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner.
- Assist with check-in and check-out processes, including verifying demographic and insurance information.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments based on office protocols and availability.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
- Collect copayments, balances, and other required patient payments in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and support documentation requirements.
- Provide clear communication regarding office policies, forms, and patient instructions.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative team members to support efficient patient flow.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and comply with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Resolve routine patient concerns with professionalism and escalte issues when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service, administrative, or healthcare support role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn scheduling and electronic record systems.
- Basic understanding of insurance verification, billing processes, or medical office procedures is helpful.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established policies and procedures.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
