IFMK Law is a leading multi-state defense firm specializing in workers' compensation, governmental and public entity defense, insurance and employment law, commercial litigation, subrogation, and employment law for public and private sector clients. IFMK maintains headquarters in Chicago and Northbrook, Illinois, with branches throughout the Midwest. This position is specifically for a workers’ compensation defense attorney out of our office in downtown Champaign, Illinois.

We are seeking a workers' compensation defense attorney to work out of our office in Champaign, Illinois, at the M2 building in downtown Champaign.

Opportunities
  • Managing a litigation case load under the mentorship and supervision of multiple partners
  • Handling depositions of medical experts and witnesses
  • Conducting thorough investigations relevant to each case
  • Engaging in legal research on a variety of issues
  • Negotiating with opposing counsel and obtaining favorable settlement results
  • Practicing in all stages of litigation, including pre-trials, trials, and appeals
  • Involvement in a variety of collaborations and projects
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with a wide variety of clients, from major corporations and large municipalities to small businesses
  • Involvement in a variety of collaborations and projects, to advance both the firm and the individual success of the attorney

We are seeking a workers' compensation defense attorney with 0-5 years of experience.

Qualifications
  • A valid Illinois law license in good standing with the bar.
  • Exceptional professionalism and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in research and writing.
  • The ability to administer multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Superior interpersonal and client management skills.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management abilities, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
