What You'll Do

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources.
• Prepare food according to item specifications, understand and plan future productions and mass productions, prepare for seasonality, and adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for production decisions, ordering merchandise, receiving club pick‑up orders, training, and product quality.
• Drive the performance of the area, stock and rotate merchandise, ensure quality and date‑control standards, eliminate waste, and provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, processing payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving member issues and concerns.
• Act as a brand advocate, develop, influence, and inspire others in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style, and assist in training and overcoming roadblocks.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, apply the Open Door Policy, and integrate these principles into business processes and practices.
• Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change, difficulty, and feedback.

Live Better U is a company‑paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates at Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short‑form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are fully paid by Walmart.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances, such as schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, with multiple premiums potentially applicable.
