Project Manager
We are looking for a Project Manager. Project Managers lead our production activities in the field, making decisions that impact the success of job assignments for the Company. You will be responsible for writing estimates in Xactimate utilizing the program guidelines and IICRC standards. This position is for managing the operational functions of a residential and commercial fire and water clean‑up and restoration that include all facets of operational, financial and human resources management.
The Manager position implements and enforces the overall mission and vision of the company and is eligible for annual bonuses. Ideal candidates will showcase their creativity, leadership skills, attention to detail and take ownership of managing operational and analytical accountability with a positive attitude.
- Monitor and inspect tasks for commercial and residential water and fire restoration jobs to ensure completion of drying, demolition and various restoration activities.
- Prepare/review documentation to include notes, photos and documents according to company policies and procedures.
- Explain restoration processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to resolution in person to customers and supervise technicians assigned to the job.
- Lead by example by performing and supervising the work, as well as cross‑training crew leaders and technicians.
- Ensure all customers are satisfied with all services performed and assist Customer Service and Marketing to efficiently resolve all customer complaints.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the crews and Management through communication and leadership.
- Ensure the necessary equipment is assigned and available to each project.
- Ensure all employees are productively scheduled and assigned to customer projects on a daily basis according to the needs of the customer and the ability of the employee.
- Promote safety by maintaining all physical plant and equipment, enforcing the company’s written safety program, and conducting regularly scheduled safety meetings with production personnel.
- Work with Management to keep variable expenses (labor and supplies) within budgeted target percentages.
- Establish weekly production goals for the field with Management.
- Knowledge and use of Xactimate, Xactanalysis, MICA, Dash, and Google Suite.
- Create estimates in applicable software and complete appropriate paperwork.
- Document and review loss with clear and descriptive job photos using MICA and upload into the operating system/software.
- Write mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and/or Contents Tracker.
- Explain drying process and next steps to resolution in person to customers using printed materials.
- Perform quality assurance inspections after completion, obtain customer signatures for approval, and request payments when necessary.
- Prepare documentation and pictures according to company policies and procedures to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies.
- Working on‑call schedule is required.
- Must have some industry experience as a Project Manager.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Prior branch production, sales, and management experience.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license.
