Northern Field Services Manager; Public Service Administrator OPT

The Northern Field Services Manager oversees staff in the Illinois Department of Revenue's Northern District offices in Rockford and Des Plaines, managing taxpayer inquiries related to income tax, business tax, withholding tax, sales and use tax, and business registration. The role requires supervising field services personnel, handling complex tax matters, coordinating with other state agencies, and maintaining production records while serving as a full-line supervisor.

• Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in accounting or finance with related tax accounting work
• Knowledge equivalent to four years of college, preferably with courses in business administration, tax accounting or tax law
• Three years of experience working with current Illinois and Federal tax laws, rules and regulations or in a tax-related field
• Ability to travel between Rockford and Des Plaines locations with overnight stays as needed
• Valid driver's license and ability to complete tax compliance and fingerprint-based background check
