Program Management Section Chief Senior Public Service Administrator

The Illinois Department of Transportation seeks a Senior Public Service Administrator to serve as Program Management Section Chief. The successful candidate will plan, develop, organize, and manage the department's annual highway improvement program, oversee the statewide project programming process, and manage bond release requests to the Governor's Office of Management and Budget. This position provides strategic leadership for highway program development and implementation while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

• Four years of college coursework in business, finance, management, economics, statistics, or accounting
• Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in highway planning and programming including budgetary planning and fiscal management
• Two years of experience with federal and state transportation regulations and funding programs
• Three years of supervisory or managerial experience directing staff or leading teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills to present technical and budgetary information to leadership and stakeholders
• Ability to travel with overnight stays as appropriate and possess a valid driver's license
