Job Description
Job Title: Stockroom Attendant
Department: Maintenance
Rate of Pay: $29.68 /hr
Schedule: 5:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
Shift Premium: $.75/hr on 2nd shift & $1.00/hr on 3rd shift
Additional Information: Flexible work week. In addition to the following, employees must understand the relevance and importance of their activities in contributing to food safety and report situations that may impact food safety.
Responsibilities- Receipt of all maintenance store / non‑store items.
- Accurate match up of incoming items with appropriate purchase order or repair/return process.
- Issuing material items against appropriate work orders or cost center numbers.
- Identifying material items as stores or non‑stores to ensure proper reorder.
- Proper shipping procedures when items are shipped from the building.
- Ordering emergency material when purchasing personnel are not present.
- Set up new material numbers in CMMS.
- Analyze min/max in CMMS to ensure proper stock levels.
- Perform cycle counts of inventory and process discrepancies.
- Process and complete reorder reports promptly.
- Create requisitions in CMMS for repair and materials.
- Convert material items to consignment/VMI.
- Process past‑due purchase orders with Kraft Buying Center / vendors.
- Process invoice exceptions in Smart Kart / SAP.
- Assist customers in finding parts/materials.
- Process past‑due requisitions with Kraft Buying Center / vendors.
- Track serial numbers on all Waukesha pump issues/receipts on Excel database.
- Maintain stockrooms to 5S standards.
- Analyze over‑stock report to reduce dollar value impact to the plant.
- Track all new projects/material additions to stock on Excel database.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Experience researching industrial machine parts using manuals, vendor catalogs, and websites.
- Demonstrated use of different measurement systems such as fractions, decimals, metric, etc.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving practices to identify appropriate handling methods.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment requested by maintenance personnel (electricians, shop repair, general maintenance).
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and coworkers.
- Knowledge of and compliance with Kraft Food’s Environmental Policy.
Responsible for wearing proper PPE and complying with safety training, policies, and procedures. Report any unsafe safety conditions to a supervisor or manager. Participate in the QRMP audit and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions. Oversee and lead implementation of the QRMP system and operational standards as outlined in the plant accountability list.

May require lifting 5–75 pounds.
Working ConditionsTemperatures may range from 60–80 °F. Hearing protection, bump cap, and safety glasses are required in all production areas.
Training and Experience- Ability to support department goals/KPI and achieve results.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and follow‑up on issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience using CMMS.
- Ability to learn additional CMMS requirements as the system evolves.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases (e.g., Microsoft Excel), and analytical tools.
- Typing skills adequate to operate the CMMS system.
