Schedule: 1st shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay: $30 - $40 and up to 15 hours of optional overtime per week
About the RoleA well-established manufacturer of electrical and mechanical components is looking for an experienced Metrology CMM Programmer to join a small, collaborative quality team. This is a fully onsite, hands‑on role responsible for first‑piece inspection on CNC setups, vendor incoming inspection, and full assembly checks across a diverse mix of machined and purchased parts.
The facility runs Brown and Sharpe DCC CMMs across three models. Existing programs need operator‑friendly revisions and new programs will be written as production requires. As the operation grows, this person will also train CMM operators, making communication and a collaborative mindset just as important as technical skill.

Responsibilities- Write, revise, and maintain CMM programs in PC‑DMIS across multiple Brown and Sharpe DCC units
- Perform first‑piece inspections for CNC machining setups and vendor incoming inspection
- Conduct full assembly inspections including GD&T evaluation on complex assemblies
- Revise existing programs to make them more operator‑friendly and efficient
- Assess current CMM equipment and make recommendations on controller replacement as needed
- Train CMM operators as headcount is added to the team
- Operate CMMs directly until operators are onboarded and running independently
- Troubleshoot inspection and programming issues independently and communicate findings clearly
- Maintain accurate inspection records and support quality and production teams as needed
- High school diploma required; AAS degree or related CMM programming certification is preferred
- 1-2+ years of PC‑DMIS programming experience required
- PC‑DMIS proficiency is required;
Calypso experience is a plus - Metal fabrication, machining, or related manufacturing industry experience is required; defense, military, or aerospace experience is strongly preferred
- ITAR familiarity preferred
- Hands‑on competency with manual metrology tools including micrometers, height gauges, and related instruments
- Experience inspecting machined components, castings, and assemblies with GD&T requirements
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and manage multiple inspection priorities
- Team player with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to both train others and continue learning
- US citizen or green card holder required
- Stable, onsite role with a consistent schedule and a collaborative team culture
