Job Summary
The Assembly Coordinator will oversee daily operations in the assembly department to ensure processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Responsibilities include coordinating station rotations, monitoring workflow, maintaining quality standards, and leading staff to meet production goals. Must program, schedule, and maintain new robotic production cells. Must work 2nd shift (2pm - 10pm).
Essential Functions- Train on operation of a Fanuc Assembly robot.
- Work 9‑hour shift, Monday – Friday 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
- Safely pull die sets from hydraulic presses as schedule demands and set new tooling.
- Ensure programs match product being entered into the system.
- Maintain the Gema powder paint system, monitor powder replacement, mandrel thickness to spec, and quality of finished product out of oven.
- Run quality checks every ~50 parts to measure against print specifications for hole size, eccentricity, etc.
- Demonstrate 5S practices for a clean and organized work area.
- Promote and follow all safety measures.
- Must perform duties that require standing, stooping, squatting, and lifting up to 40 lb. Must be able to strike with a 3 lb hammer.
Skills and Abilities
- 2 – 5 years of experience with CNC equipment.
- Robotic experience is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing.
- Works in a factory environment exposed to dirt, grit, noise, and dust. Protective clothing and safety equipment mandatory.
- Environment lit with fluorescent or LED lights and must tolerate varying temperatures and weather conditions in the warehouse.
- Sits, stands, walks, and moves around the warehouse 8+ hours per day on concrete floors.
- Lifts items by hand or with equipment. Must regularly bend, stoop, and squat.
