CNC Machinist

Job Description

Our client in Rockford IL is looking for a CNC operator. As a general rule, the job involves interpreting blueprints, following process routings, and following verbal instructions. Company manufacturers/ specializes in industrial equipment and tractor parts. Company focuses on delivering high-quality, durable components designed to enhance the performance and reliability of various machinery.

Available Shift

Hours:

1st shift:
5am-1:00pm (Monday
-Friday)

Pay Rate: $30/HR+ (3hr of overtime paid daily for commuting to work while in training)

Must be able to pass a proficiency test over 70% or higher

Must be willing to commute during training

Job Location:

Rockford IL

Job Training Woodridge IL (1-2 months before relocating to Rockford IL)

Roles and responsibilities:

• Prepare blueprints, fixtures, and gauges paperwork.
• Sets cut depths, feed rates, and speeds using controls.
• Inspects machined work pieces according to the inspection sequence to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Adapts fluid levels and machinery maintenance automatically.
• Each day, return all set-up materials and paperwork to their proper locations.
• Periodically inspects parts to ensure their quality.

Qualifications, Skills, and

Experience:

• The ability to read blueprints and assemble parts according to specifications
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality
• Mechanical inspection tools expertise
• Knowledge of hand tools & power tools
