CNC Machinist
This role offers an opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist to contribute to a growing team by setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and turning centers, to produce precision, tight-tolerance parts that meet exact customer specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and turning centers, to produce precision parts to customer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and part dimensions.
- Perform CNC machine setups, including tooling selection, fixture setup, and workpiece alignment.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Perform machine offsets and adjustments to maintain accuracy and adherence to tolerances throughout production runs.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to improve part quality and machine performance.
- Monitor machine operations and inspect completed parts to ensure consistent quality and compliance with specifications.
- 4 years of CNC setup machining experience, including preparing machines for production runs.
- 3 years of CNC mill experience, working with tight-tolerance parts.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and dimensional issues effectively.
- Proficiency in working with tight tolerances and quality-focused production environments.
- 2 years of 5-axis CNC machining experience preferred
- 3 years of CNC lathe experience preferred
- Familiarity with offset adjustments on CNC equipment
- Comfort working in a machine shop environment with multiple types of CNC equipment

This is a Permanent position based out of Champaign, IL.
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $66560.00/yr.
