You’llDo
- Responsible to identify and react to Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP concerns.
- Measurement, observation and inspection of process and product to ensure products meet quality requirements according to specification. This includes startups, changeovers, line clearance, PMs and in-processing during the shift.
- Follow GMP requirements and ensure GMP-type issues do not affect product integrity.
- Ability to perform basic math and interpret prints; read measurements and specifications.
- Communicate with supervisor, shift personnel and management staff.
- Create and maintain documentation as required by procedures and work instructions; handle nonconforming material per procedure when product does not meet specification; visually inspect/audit product to ensure visual defect requirements are met; understand Visual Quality Standards; determine sample size and frequency for testing (Full Shots, Full Rounds, subgroups).
- Perform quality duties per the work instructions during the shift.
Like to work in and maintain a safe work environment. Like to use gauges per PMP’s to measure product and enter dimensional data into computer software; if product does not meet specification, verify it is not due to gauge or operator error; if not, place product on hold per nonconforming material procedure.
Minimum Education & Qualifications- High School/GED
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mathematical ability
- Communication skills
- Writing legibly
