Sanitation Tech - 3rd Shift

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $23.72. Shift premium of $1.00/hr applies on the 3rd shift. The position participates in an hourly bonus program.

• Flexible scheduling:
  Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday. 8-hour workday with possible overtime.
• 3rd shift (11pm-7am).
• Employees must have weekend availability and may work weekends and holidays.

Under the direction of the Sanitation Coordinator, this position assists in plant sanitation training, policies and procedure implementation, and auditing throughout the plant. The Sanitation Technician orders sanitation supplies and chemicals, maintains partnerships with sanitation partners and vendors, and troubleshoots sanitation problems.

• Order site sanitation supplies and match incoming items with purchase orders.
• Organize and perform cycle count of inventory in the sanitation supply area.
• Work with vendors weekly to capture opportunities and innovate processes.
• Monitor sanitation quality: audits, documentation, policies, procedures, and plant appearance.
• Support and participate in daily sanitation activities, noting issues, and helping to develop plans to address deviations.
• Assist in training sanitation associates.
• Issue sanitation supply items for use in sanitation processes.
• Participate in periodic cleaning of areas.
• Follow proper shipping procedures when items are removed from the building.
• Unload bulk chemicals when supply trucks arrive, and maintain bulk totes throughout the plant.
• Work with the sanitation team, department supervisors, and vendors to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Know and monitor all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) policies and housekeeping within the complex.
• Assist with plant record keeping to maintain compliance with safety, quality, HACCP, sanitation, and all regulatory documents.

• Basic computer and typing skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to lift supplies and equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Familiarity with shipping/receiving practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communicating effectively with vendors and other employees.
• Ability to work effectively and with accuracy in a fast‑paced, complex, and flexible work environment.
• Organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities, and exercise good problem‑solving strategies.

• Three or more years of experience in sanitation processes in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to recognize and identify chemicals used in the plant.
• Quality control experience including micro swabs and auditing.
• Inventory and vendor management experience.
