Lining Technician
Join Silgan Closures, a global employer in sustainable packaging solutions, as a Lining Technician at our Champaign, IL manufacturing facility. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you'll operate, inspect, and maintain high-speed lining equipment to ensure the production of safe, high-quality closures used by popular food and beverage brands.
What We Offer:
- Pay range $23.31 - $25.91 per hour
- Schedule:
2-2-3 with every other weekend off – Friday - Sunday - Hours:
12-hour night, 5:45 am – 6:00 pm - Weekly pay with opportunities for overtime
- No mandatory overtime

What You Will Do:
- Reset and calibrate vision systems at start of each shift
- Verify all materials align with the daily production schedule
- Use precision tools to take and record closure measurements
- Perform visual quality inspections on closures
- Monitor control panels and detect equipment jams or malfunctions
- Make mechanical adjustments and repairs to equipment
- Make basic mechanical adjustments and minor repairs as needed
- Document production performance and communicate with the next shift
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work individually in a fast-paced production environment
