Advanced Operator

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. seeks an Advanced Operator to run high-speed manufacturing equipment producing PET and HDPE containers. You will set up, monitor, and adjust automated lines, perform quality checks, and complete basic mechanical troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include following strict safety and GMP standards, documenting production data, and supporting changeovers and preventive maintenance. You will collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to drive continuous improvement, support sustainability goals, and help train operators in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-speed plastic packaging production lines
• Set up equipment and perform line changeovers per production schedule
• Conduct in-process quality checks and record test results
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and process issues to minimize downtime
• Follow safety, GMP, and housekeeping standards at all times
• Document production data, downtime, and material usage accurately
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams on process improvements
• Support preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and tooling
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced operators
• Contribute ideas to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives
