ESSENTIAL COMMITMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Campus Leadership: You communicate and model Inter Varsity’s vision, create a culture of humble dependence on God, model Inter Varsity’s vision and Core Values, lead students and faculty, set annual goals, create and align ministry plans, build leadership teams, mobilize students, supervise interns, gather diverse groups, create encounter opportunities, equip students, disciple, and invite and equip leaders.

Organizational

Collaboration:

You work with local, area, regional, national staff and volunteers, partner with and respond to supervisors, contribute to team meetings, affiliate chapters under your care, use national ministry resources and tools, complete reporting, and comply with all Inter Varsity policies and procedures.

Ministry Partnership Development: You develop a team of partners – churches and individuals – who will resource the ministry financially, in prayer, or volunteer. Raise 100% of the financial budget assigned by your supervisor, communicate regularly with partners, develop ongoing partnership with alumni and volunteers, comply with all partnership policies, and identify and invest in advocates who will build networks of volunteers and donors.

Accomplish all other assigned tasks as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Annually affirm Inter Varsity’s Statement of Agreement (Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement).
  • Abide by Inter Varsity’s Code of Conduct.
  • Believe and behave consonantly with Inter Varsity’s Human Sexuality Theological Paper.
  • Affirm and behave consonantly with Inter Varsity’s “Women in Ministry Statement of Affimation”.
  • Bachelor’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a four‑year campus.
  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a two‑year campus or a community college.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.
WORK ENVIRONMENT /

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The CSM position leads ministry in a college campus environment. A designated office space may or may not be available. The CSM is required to travel to on‑campus and off‑campus sites as appropriate, including student ministry conferences, ministry partnership meetings, and Inter Varsity‑sponsored training sessions, meetings, and conferences. Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets is required.

PAY

& BENEFITS

Pay Range: $39,288.00–$52,392.00 per year. The position is funded through personal fundraising; compensation will vary based on the ability to secure a donor team.
