The Greater community AIDS Project is an East Central Illinois nonprofit that empowers individuals living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. We provide housing and supportive services and work within the community to reduce virus transmission and stigma. We're looking for an outgoing, community minded Outreach and Education Specialist to serve as an ambassador for GCAP to raise awareness of our mission, and provide community events, educational material and outreach communications.
Position is part-time, 10 hours/wk., flexible schedule with some evening and weekend commitments based on scheduled events, like Pride Fest and HIV testing days; mileage and cell phone reimbursement, paid leave accrued per Illinois law
must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of equipment, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance for local travel, negative TB test or certification of TB free status, COVID 19 vaccine per applicable law;
