Intake Registered Nurse (RN)

The Pavilion Behavioral Health System includes a 110 bed inpatient hospital, a residential treatment center for youth and a residential addictions treatment program. Outpatient services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services, as well as The Pavilion Foundation School, a private day school serving students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders. The Pavilion is located in Champaign, IL, within minutes of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus.

The Intake Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the Intake Director, provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment to assist the physician in identification of appropriate level of care for potential patients. The Intake RN is the initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff.

The Intake RN works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data and verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Licensure:
  Currently licensed in the state of Illinois as a Registered Nurse
• Education:
  
  Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required;
  Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience:
  
  2-3 years in substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.
