A well-established skilled nursing facility in the Champaign-Urbana area is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director Of Nursing (Don) to lead its nursing department and support the delivery of high-quality resident care.
The Director Of Nursing will provide clinical leadership, oversee nursing operations, support regulatory compliance, and help develop a strong, collaborative nursing team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department.
- Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and ensure quality resident care.
- Promote compliance with applicable federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, and resident care plans.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and support survey readiness.
- Promote a positive, professional, and resident-centered culture.
- Respond appropriately to clinical concerns and changing resident needs.
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (Rn) license in good standing.
- Nursing leadership or management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
