Director Of Nursing (Don)

Location:

Champaign-Urbana, Illinois Area Compensation: $95,000–$100,000 per year

Employment Type:

A well-established skilled nursing facility in the Champaign-Urbana area is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director Of Nursing (Don) to lead its nursing department and support the delivery of high-quality resident care.

The Director Of Nursing will provide clinical leadership, oversee nursing operations, support regulatory compliance, and help develop a strong, collaborative nursing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department.
  • Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and ensure quality resident care.
  • Promote compliance with applicable federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, and resident care plans.
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and support survey readiness.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and resident-centered culture.
  • Respond appropriately to clinical concerns and changing resident needs.
Qualifications
  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse (Rn) license in good standing.
  • Nursing leadership or management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.
