Registered Nurse - Dermatology

Role Overview: The Ambulatory Nurse applies a systematic nursing approach, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver competent patient and family care, ensure adherence to care standards, and maintain accurate documentation. Provide health and wellness education to individuals and groups, act as a preceptor, and support staff development. Lead quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing departmental protocols. Explain procedures, ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality. Perform advanced nursing activities such as assisting with procedures, skin care management, medication administration, and patient education.

Coordinate care for patients with skin conditions, obtain prior authorizations, and perform telephone triage for acute and chronic conditions, covering patients aged 0-150.

Qualifications & Skills: Licensure as an RN in Illinois, BLS certification within 30 days, and a nursing diploma are required. Strong clinical skills, ability to educate patients, perform advanced procedures, and coordinate care are essential.
