Position: Quality Assurance Technician I

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify and react to Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and HACCP concerns.
  • Measure, observe, and inspect process and product to ensure products meet quality requirements according to specification, including during startups, changeovers, line clearance, preventive maintenance, and in‑processing.
  • Follow GMP requirements and guarantee that GMP‑type issues do not affect product integrity.
  • Perform visual inspections/audits to verify visual defect requirements are met.
  • Understand sample size and frequency for testing, including Full Shots, Full Rounds, and subgroups.
  • Use gages per PMPs to measure product and enter dimensional data into software.
  • Place product on hold per nonconforming material procedure when it does not meet specification and findings are not due to gauge or operator error.
  • Maintain accurate documentation per procedures and work instructions.
  • Communicate with supervisors, shift personnel, and management staff.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mathematical ability (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing all units, computing rates, ratios, and percentages).
  • Excellent communication and writing skills; legible writing.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency with MS Office preferred.

  • Hourly pay rate $23.89–$26.56, paid weekly.
  • 12‑hour rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.
