This is a full‑time, on‑site Laboratory Technician role based in Champaign, IL. The Laboratory Technician will perform routine and specialized laboratory testing of oil and refrigerant samples to support system diagnostics, quality assurance, and performance optimization. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include preparing samples, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, recording and interpreting test results, and following standardized procedures and safety protocols. The role will collaborate with chemists, engineers, and operations teams to ensure accurate data, support troubleshooting, and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory methods.
The Laboratory Technician will also assist with documentation, inventory of lab supplies, and adherence to regulatory and company quality standards.
- Demonstrated laboratory skills, including sample preparation, handling, and routine testing procedures.
- Experience working with laboratory equipment and instruments, including basic maintenance and calibration.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurately recording, reviewing, and interpreting test results.
- Background or experience as a Laboratory Technician or in a similar technical laboratory role.
- Understanding of quality control principles and good laboratory practices (GLP) to ensure reliable, compliant data.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and laboratory information systems for data entry and reporting.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, technical environment.
- Prior experience in industrial, environmental, or refrigerant‑related testing is a plus.
