We are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family as a Counter Sales associate
. You are the face of the retail store and the go-to person for customers entering our stores for automotive needs. A background and knowledge of automotive parts is useful, and this role offers opportunities to grow with us, whether you pursue a long-term career as a Parts Specialist, work full-time or part-time, or explore other careers at NAPA.

What you will be doing
  • Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone
  • Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members with customer questions
  • Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits our store
  • Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced environment
  • Welcome customers into our retail stores and engage to provide a positive experience
  • Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system
What you'll need
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn all things auto parts
  • High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Strong listening skills and empathy for customers
Nice to have (not required)
  • Background and/or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership
  • Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision
  • Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • ASE Certifications

Compensation and benefits details

This position offers a starting hourly rate of $16.00. Pay progression is available for many hourly positions, with the top end of the range reached within 12 months of hire. For other positions, the starting rate will be determined based on individual skills, experience, and qualifications. We value the unique contributions of each team member and encourage discussion of backgrounds during the interview process.
