Compensation

$65,000 – $70,000 base salary plus up to 15% year‑end bonus potential.

Work/Life Balance & Store Hours

Retail schedule includes Monday – Saturday 7 AM – 8 PM and Sunday 9 AM – 6 PM. Hours may include 10‑hour days, pre‑opening/closing coverage, and occasional six‑day workweeks.

Responsibilities
  • Support and execute in‑store promotional activities, overseeing promotions and merchandising direction.
  • Be a servant‑leader by interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training new associates; serve as a role model, mentor, and resource; coach for performance success.
  • Assess voice‑of‑customer data to identify customer experience, product selection needs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop the weekly work schedule in the workforce management tool to achieve the labor target while remaining compliant with all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Execute and grow external order programs such as e‑commerce and express orders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of grocery or retail management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Hands‑on leadership experience in grocery retail (e.g., Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood departments) highly preferred.
  • Retail demands 50+ hours per week, including 10‑hour days, pre‑opening/closing shifts, and occasional six‑day workweeks.
  • Experience with safe food handling and storage practices is required.
  • Business acumen to use financial reporting for decision making that positively influences outcomes.
  • Ability to unload merchandise from delivery trucks, organize it, and transfer it from stockroom to store.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required);
    Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record per GFS policy.
  • Letter of support from management if you are already working for a GFS customer.
