Responsibilities
- Drive new business development by calling at the corporate level of accounts while working collaboratively with Sales Directors, Managers, Engineers, and other key team members to establish priorities and achieve objectives.
- Conduct ongoing market research to strengthen industry expertise, keep abreast of market changes, recognize emerging trends, and identify market opportunities; lead Fuchs’ industry segment strategies.
- Maintain and develop good working relationships with existing and new clients to enhance client retention and new sales.
- Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry, and positioning.
- Sell, market, and promote all products and services offered by the company in the basic metals industry segment.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations.
- Demonstrate the benefits of the company’s product line to customers, ensuring proper selection and application of product through on-site visits at steel mill facilities throughout the country.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows and collaborate with Marketing and other internal stakeholders to prepare for such events.
Must be able to travel up to 75% throughout the U.S.
Qualifications- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of the metals industry and adjacent industries.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high-level business development position.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal resources to resolve equipment/lubricant related issues.
- Established internal and external network in the basic metals industry is required.
- High level of personal drive and self-motivation with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- A passion for achieving business goals and sales targets.
- Ability to set day-to-day priorities within overall priority listing, working independently and as part of a team.
FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is $155k - $175k, with actual salary varying based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
