Job TitleSales Representative
Primary responsibility: manage the sales process while providing excellent customer service. Continuously source new customers, help them find and design their dream home, and ensure a smooth sales process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Effectively communicate D.R. Horton’s value proposition, product vision and capabilities to potential customers.
- Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges, then establish D.R. Horton as the best solution.
- Overcome objections and close for the sale.
- Maintain accurate documentation of the transaction from sale through loan, options, and construction.
- Continually source new sales opportunities.
- Create and provide to management a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships.
- Network and perform outreach to realtors.
- Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals, and work effectively with team members.
- Maintain and expand database of prospects.
- Attend sales meetings.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members.
- Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree or 2 years of related experience.
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and be able to drive during day or night.
- Ability to use D.R. Horton sales applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
- Ability to follow written, oral, or application instructions.
- Proficiency with MS Office and email.
- Physical requirements:
stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8‑hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on uneven terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; lift or move up to 25 pounds; vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision. - Regular exposure to outside weather conditions.

- Prior CRM software experience.
- Previous sales experience in the housing industry preferred.
