Analyst - Soils

The Analyst (Soils), Night Shift, will be responsible for performing analyses of client samples in the Soils laboratory using a variety of analytical techniques and procedures. You will have the opportunity to partner with knowledgeable laboratory professionals to prepare, test, and analyze different types of environmental compliance samples.

• Support the testing procedure through collection, preparation, and analysis of samples
• Prepare the laboratory for daily operations, such as stocking materials, evaluating equipment, and performing safety and cleaning procedures
• Ensure lab readiness and safety
• Conduct sample testing procedures
• Validate and report testing results
• Follow safety protocols and quality control guidelines
• Maintain valid and accurate documentation
  
  Review, complete, and process logs and additional documentation as necessary
• Perform analysis using different chemistry techniques

• Other duties as required

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or related fields; experience in lieu of degree may be considered
• Previous environmental laboratory experience is preferred
• Willingness and ability to work night shift

The salary range for this role in Champaign, IL, is between $20.00- $25.00/hr while we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
