What do our Termite Technicians do?The primary purpose of this role is to protect customers’ properties from wood‑destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician you are the first line of defense, providing inspections, prevention, and treatment services that give customers peace of mind and comfort.
Responsibilities- Identify customers’ termite problems and understand termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps.
- Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices.
- Apply anti‑termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Communicate critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity and discuss procedures and structural modifications that may supplement the treatment process.
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Interact with customers and explain services provided.
Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations. Prepare the job site for treatment. Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders. Work 20feet up on a ladder and in small confined spaces. General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is a plus.
Ability to work on roofs and high areas. Move frequently—sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, going up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator, and be comfortable working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways where termites may be present.
- Clean shaven face—for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal properly).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
- At least 1 year of customer‑service experience; termite control experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Flexible with working hours, Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Licenses or certificates required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Basic math skills—add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; follow instructions on product labels for mixing.
Hourly: $16.00–$21.00. Starting pay is within this range but may vary based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings can also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
