The Service Technician diagnoses and performs standard mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs and assembles equipment for the company and customers. Service Technician’s perform work in an efficient and accurate manner to ensure customer satisfaction and company profitability. Employees are responsible for representing the company in a professional and courteous manner to customers; maintaining their person, shop space, tools, and assigned vehicles in a clean and organized manner;
and working as part of a team.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities are representative of the work to be performed and may not be all inclusive.
- Assumes essential duties and responsibilities of Entry Level Service Technician
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical deficiencies of moderate complexity on diverse types of farm equipment as assigned by the Service Manager
- Determines extent of necessary repairs, prepares list of parts needs, and reviews with Service Manager
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information from schematics, technical manuals, drawings and procedures, and governmental regulations
- Leverages available resources for problem resolution, including EDT, Manuals, technical resources, and peer knowledge
- Shares knowledge and assists fellow Service Technicians as needed
- Ability to frequently lift or move 10 to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move 75 pounds or more
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds of force
- Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary
- Ability to climb a ladder and carry an object while climbing
- Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms
- Generally required to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Likelihood of overtime during peak seasons of spring and fall
