JSM Living is seeking a reliable and skilled Carpenter to join our team. We manage a diverse portfolio of residential apartments and commercial properties, and this role is essential to keeping our buildings safe, functional, and well-maintained for our residents and tenants.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, pays close attention to detail, and can be relied on to consistently deliver high-quality work. Strong attendance, dependability, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments are key to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform carpentry-related repairs and maintenance work, including surface repairs, framing, trim work, drywall repairs, door and hardware installation, and other general carpentry tasks
  • Prepare job sites, materials, and tools for daily carpentry projects and repairs
  • Complete daily work orders accurately, efficiently, and with attention to detail
  • Operate, maintain, and clean various power and manual carpentry tools and equipment
  • Maintain electronic records by accurately documenting project-related time, labor, and materials
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and other departments to complete projects efficiently and professionally
  • Participate in the on-call maintenance rotation as assigned
  • Provide support during peak workload periods, which may require overtime
What We’re Looking For
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant carpentry or construction experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and techniques, with the ability to perform detailed carpentry work independently
  • Comfortable utilizing electronic communication and work order systems, including email, mobile devices, and maintenance software
  • Comfortable working at heights and safely using ladders 6 feet or more above the ground
  • Sky Trak/Lull certification desired but not required
  • Flexibility for occasional overtime and participation in the on-call rotation
  • Hourly starting rate - $25-$32 per hour

The starting hourly range for this position reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of this posting. The final compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, education, skills, and other qualifications relevant to the role.
