Maintenance Technician

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN IN CRYSTAL LAKE, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Crystal Lake, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, maintaining building systems, and supporting safe and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate has hands‑on mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

• Starting at $85,000 annually

• Located in Crystal Lake, Illinois

• Lead advanced troubleshooting and repairs of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, rebuilds, alignments, and equipment repairs
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and automation systems
• Diagnose equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime
• Support equipment installations, commissioning, startups, and production uptime
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Maintain accurate CMMS records and repair documentation
• Improve maintenance procedures, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance programs
• Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams
• Follow and enforce safety procedures, including LOTO, electrical safety, PPE, fall protection, and confined space requirements

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls troubleshooting skills
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and equipment repair
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to mentor junior technicians and work cross-functionally
• CMMS experience preferred
• Technical degree or certifications such as CMRT or NFPA 70E are a plus.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, off-shifts, and emergency call-ins as needed
