. Developmental Services Center (DSC) provides comprehensive services across the lifespan—from birth through adulthood—including family development, case management, employment, residential, respite, and community day services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford Counties. As part of our team, you'll join a positive, caring, and mission-driven group of professionals dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to live full, self‑directed lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide prevention-focused support and resources for prenatal families and those with children—birth to three—in Champaign County.
  • Promote healthy child development and strengthen the parent‑child relationship by coming alongside caregivers to build resilience, enhance protective factors, and increase connections to community resources.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Early Childhood Education, Human and Family Development, Social Work, or related field.
  • At least one year of experience working with families with children under the age of five.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and the impact of environmental and social factors on child development and caregiver‑child interactions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build partnerships with families, staff, and community agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, families experiencing risk factors, and teen parents.
  • Bilingual, Spanish-speaking preferred.
HOURS:
  • Full‑Time: 40 hours a week
WHAT WE OFFER:
  • $45,011.20 per year
  • Grant‑funded retention bonuses – up to 2 payments for a maximum of $1,200 per fiscal year! (depending on when in the grant year you are hired)
