The Bilingual Case ManagerThe Bilingual Case Manager initiates and maintains regular contact and support with families, providing assessment, linkage to community resources, and family-centered, strength-based interventions to promote reunification and prevent removal from the home. Services focus on family safety, well‑being, and reducing the need for child welfare intervention.
Duties- Conduct initial family assessments.
- Ensure that safety and well‑being of involved children receive proper services.
- Support families in resolving challenges that increase risk to children.
- Conduct weekly home visits to assess child safety and well‑being.
- Identify, research, and regularly update community resource information for relevant and accessible referrals.
- Direct intervention to reduce risk and teach strategies for avoiding future risk.
- Verify families’ linkage to community resources and document receipt and connection.
- Manage the client waitlist by triaging individuals to active caseloads based on urgency and need.
- Deliver short‑term services to help parents maintain safe, organized, and clean home environments.
- Connect clients to appropriate medical services based on identified health, safety, and risk needs.
- Provide advocacy services with public systems such as DHS/TANF and public schools.
- Maintain records and statistics required by the agency, state, and funding sources, and make suggestions for review.
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, social services, or related field.
- Fluent in writing and speaking English and Spanish.
- Ability to speak the primary languages of clients.
- Experience working successfully with children (0‑17 years) and their families.
- Understanding of child development and parent‑child dynamics.
- Approach families from a strength‑based and family‑centered service model.
- Available after‑hours for emergency families.
- Ability to establish and maintain personal/programmatic boundaries while providing supportive services.
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities and families, with cultural sensitivity.
- Reliable transportation, including ability to travel locally for home visits and service connections.
Salary: $50,000 per year
Position type: Full‑time exempt
