Family Educator/Home Visitor / Case Manager – Full Time
The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) is hiring a full-time Family Educator/Home Visitor/Case Manager for its GREAT Start Prevention Initiative Birth to Three Home Visiting Program. The program offers free and voluntary home‑visiting services and support to families in Champaign County with children under the age of three and prenatal families. The selected candidate will perform professional work in the Baby TALK Model of family engagement.
Responsibilities- Conduct child developmental assessments.
- Facilitate developmental activities with children and caregivers, develop family goal plans, provide case management and connect families to community resources.
- Support child development by strengthening the parent–child relationship, establishing and deepening working relationships with families, empowering parents to set goals for themselves and their children, and supporting families’ mastery in their growth and development.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, human services, child development, or a closely related field.
- Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
- Spanish speaking individuals are highly desirable.
- Experience working with parents and children under three years of age is highly preferred.
- Qualified bilingual employees receive an additional $3.00 per hour upon approval.
- Eligible employees may complete language proficiency testing upon hire and begin receiving the stipend as soon as they are approved.

The expected annual starting salary is $52,556. Full annual salary range for a Class 6 Case Manager is $52,556 – $70,950 for a 40-hour week.

VaccinationRequirement
All employees must be fully vaccinated with the most up-to-date influenza (seasonally) vaccine (September 2025 and beyond). All other vaccinations are highly recommended but not mandatory. Vaccinations taken prior to September 2025 will not be accepted. Proof of vaccinations must be on file with Human Resources prior to the start date.
