Bilingual Permanency Achievement Specialist This position is in both our Pilsen office and Joliet office.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Permanency Achievement Specialist to join our team in Champaign, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with children and families to achieve permanency through adoption or reunification. This role involves providing support, resources, and guidance to ensure successful outcomes for children in need of permanent homes.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement permanency plans for children in foster care
- Collaborate with social workers, case managers, and other professionals to support permanency goals
- Provide counseling and support services to children and families throughout the permanency process
- Advocate for the best interests of children in court hearings and meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all interactions and progress
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field
required - Previous experience working with children and families in a social services setting
required - Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) written and orally required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Tuition assistance up to $2500 per fiscal year
