Monday-Friday position that starts at 6 am daily. Position comes with a benefit package that includes major medical, dental, 401k, vacation, and paid holidays.
Job Responsibilities:- Transport Pepsi products to various locations in Champaign County
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of goods
- Inspect vehicle before and after each trip, and submit maintenance requests when appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Communicate with supervisor and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Report any accidents or incidents to management immediately
- Minimum high school education preferred.
- Good verbal communication and people skills, including tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to perform physical functions which will include the lifting and moving of 50 pounds or more and pulling cart with load weighing up to 220 pounds.
- Applicant must be physically able to lift 31 to 40 pounds about sixty times per hour; 11 to 20 pounds about 20 times an hour over 50 pounds is around six times an hour.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, twisting, and bending.
- Physical mobility to make frequent trips from vehicle to customer premises.
- Ability to promote a positive, professional image of Pepsi-Cola.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Sufficient math skills to effectively handle monies and account for these at end of day.
- Ability to safely operate lift-gate, power jack, and forklift.
- Manual dexterity to operate handheld computing devices.
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
- Possess and maintain a valid and complete Class A Commercial Driver’s License with all DMV, medical and legal clearances to provide for and allow use of said license.
- License suspended or revoked in the last 3 years.
- Alcohol-related conviction (DWI, open container, etc.) in the last 5 years.
- Vehicular homicide, assault, or manslaughter conviction.
- “Hit and Run” or “leaving the scene” conviction.
- Reckless Driving conviction
- Careless Driving conviction.
- Financial responsibility filing
- No valid license for state of residence
- Speeding in excess of 20 mph conviction in the last 3 years.
