The position will be responsible for Receiving, inventory, packing, warehousing, store keeping, daily shipping orders, paperwork preparation, data entry, supply ordering and customer service contact with the appropriate group regarding shipping. Inventory practices and procedures and assist with special projects as needed.

QHSSE

Required to follow all QHSSE and Compliance policies and procedures and complete training by using all systems as defined by Stratum. You are responsible for creating opportunities for improvement, report and investigate incidents, non-conformities, and operative issues. Employees must submit STAR cards and report any risks identified on the job. Participation in meetings and general activities created to help in prevent risks is required.

The employee is responsible to stop the job and assess whether the conditions are safe to continue work. If applicable, must be responsible for completing all required QHSSE and Compliance reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules, confidentiality practices and company policies of Stratum Reservoir.
  • Receiving, inventory, packing, warehousing, store keeping.
  • Prepare pallets for the shipping department.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and free of any safety issues.
  • Assist in assembly of orders for shipment.
  • Prepare all paperwork for shipment.
  • Check all shipments and report shortages and defects to the appropriate work group.
  • Follow up on all daily shipments to make sure they ship on time.
  • Maintain necessary documentation and forward to appropriate groups for all shipments.
  • Contact all freight carriers for pick-up.
  • Contact personnel regarding any shipment delays or requested information.
  • Log in all incoming and outgoing samples into Core Trac and IMS systems.
  • Prepare export documents for international destinations.
  • Be familiar with standard procedures for packaging, weight dimensions and pallets.
  • Perform a visual inspection of products being shipped.
  • Order all shipping supplies.
  • Coordinate full/ partial truck loads.
  • Ability to organize daily work schedule.
  • Ability to lead a group.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ambition to grow within the Stratum Reservoir organization.
  • Perform various other duties and participate in special projects as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of shipping and inventory practices and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to work closely with fellow employees.
  • Knowledge of Haz Mat shipping practices
  • Knowledge of international shipping practices
  • Prior experience with freight forwarding vendors
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
