Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class B Driver for our Montgomery, IL location. Applicants may hold a CDL Class A or CDL Class B license with an Air Brake Endorsement. Experience with Knuckleboom and/or Flatbed with Moffett equipment is highly desired, and overtime opportunities are available as needed.
ResponsibilitiesDelivery drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to job sites, physically unloading material as requested, receiving materials at the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory.
Qualifications- CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license
- 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience
- Experience operating Moffett or Knuckleboom strongly preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to drive a manual transmission
- Current DOT medical card
- Clean driving record
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- Heavy lifting experience
- Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material daily; some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
- Deliveries include unloading shingles on one- and two-story homes
- Load trucks with material scheduled for day’s deliveries, ensuring weight limits are secured according to DOT regulations
- Unload trucks and receive merchandise at the warehouse
- Move materials and items from receiving to designated areas
