Warehouse Material Handler Forklift

Position Overview

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
• Additional Pay: $2.00 per hour added when assigned to E shift

• E Shift;
  Monday - Friday; 5:15 PM - 1:45 AM

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, posit, and stage products; load and unload trucks
• Manage day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more of warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable, thorough, and punctual with a good attendance record
• High degree of initiative and accuracy, even under pressure
• Physical ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Comfortable with health and safety methods
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
