Position Details

Location: 2051 Baseline Road, Montgomery, IL 60538. This role does not offer relocation assistance.

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift (Sunday – Thursday), start time approx. 2:00 PM to shift end (approximately 50 hours per week). Schedule may alternate for training/onboarding during the first 90 days. Environment: cooler/freezer 36 °F (2 °C) to –10 °F (–23 °C); freezer jackets are provided. Must work in this environment daily.

Travel: N/A.

Compensation: $58k – $75k base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus potential based on KPIs.

Position Summary

Warehouse Supervisor‑Cooler/Freezer – oversees daily warehouse operations, manages a team of associates, and ensures efficient and accurate handling of inventory. Requires strong leadership, solid knowledge of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to a safe, productive work environment.

Position Responsibilities
  • Supervises and coordinates warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products for the assigned shift.
  • Manages a team of 15–25 warehouse associates, handling hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure effective performance.
  • Ensures timely, accurate, and complete order pulling; guarantees all orders are loaded in proper sequence and completes required paperwork.
  • Ensures all products received during the shift are stocked properly, following first‑in, first‑out procedures for stock rotation.
  • Demonstrates a strong service‑quality ethic through personal example and ensures associates understand their roles in meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
  • Coordinates pick planning in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager.
  • Utilizes the company’s warehouse management system and other technologies to maximize productivity; analyzes warehouse operation productivity and recommends appropriate changes.
  • Handles building security, including locking the warehouse and setting alarms after shift, if needed.
  • Enforces safety protocols and ensures compliance with material‑handling regulations and company health and safety programs and policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and material‑handling equipment.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of warehouse operations experience required.
  • 1+ years of experience leading and supervising a team of 15–20 associates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • 4 years of warehouse experience, including all phases within the food service industry.
  • OSHA forklift operator certificate and experience operating material‑handling equipment preferred.
