Responsible for checking the quality of designated product and taking daily inventory on produce. Removes spoiled product that is short‑dated from inventory and repacks full cases into smaller quantities. Responsible for quality checks of all produce pick locations. Pulls for dump or salvage any produce with decay or otherwise not meeting shipping requirements. Reports any dumps or salvage to Inventory Control.
Communicates and interacts with vendors and co‑workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
- Perform assigned duties efficiently to reduce spoilage and contribute positively to profit margin; working closely with the cooler Receiving Department on perishable items.
- Determine quality of products returned by customers; work with Returns Clerk (DCI) on returned produce quality.
- Check quality of produce and ensure poor quality product is removed before a customer can purchase, ensuring rotation and quality of product on a daily basis.
- Break / repack full cases to small cases in the most timely and efficient manner to reduce spoilage and lost inventory.
- Check for dating issues on designated products daily. Remove any short‑dated and bad product from inventory.
- Communicate and interact with company associates and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensure questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Use iPad for data entry, requiring computer skills – Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Keep inventory counts current.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Available Sun to Friday with a five‑day work week, rotating Sundays.

Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 6–12 months procurement, warehouse, and/or related produce experience.
- 1–2 years procurement, warehouse, and/or produce experience in related area within food service industry.
