The Material Handler is responsible for supporting production and warehouse operations through the movement, storage, organization, and replenishment of inventory and materials. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring materials are available when needed, and supporting the efficient flow of products throughout our 200,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility.
Responsibilities- Move, store, restock, and rotate inventory throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Ensure materials are placed in correct storage locations and inventory bins.
- Read work orders and production schedules to determine material requirements.
- Deliver materials and supplies to production areas to support manufacturing operations.
- Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
- Sort, organize, and stage materials for production and shipment.
- Record inventory movements and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Verify materials, quantities, and locations using bar code scanning and inventory systems.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and warehouse organization activities.
- Inspect materials and report inventory discrepancies or damaged products.
- Safely operate material handling equipment and follow all company safety procedures.
- Support other warehouse and manufacturing functions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient computer skills, including ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience.
- Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to work in a drug‑free workplace and pass required screenings.
- Bar code scanning experience.
- Overhead crane operation experience or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
- Fabrication or welding experience.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift heavier items with assistance.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Full‑Time, Hourly, Non‑Exempt
Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with overtime as required.
All full‑time employees are eligible for health, dental, vision, STD, LTD, Basic Life, voluntary life, and 401(k) match up to 6%.
