We are looking for a Resident Assistant to provide personal care to improve and maintain the physical and emotional well-being of residents in our busy senior living community in Champlin, MN. Ebenezer provides medication passing training upon hire for this role.

This part-time weekend caregiver/home health aide schedule includes:

• 16 hours per two weeks
• night shift, overnights
• every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) rotation and rotating holidays

• Assist residents with personal cares including bathing/showering, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, shaving, and transfers
• Provide assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Perform 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provide health-related services as directed and per individualized care plan under the Registered Nurse, including blood glucose monitoring
• Administer medication or assist under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections)
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration under RN direction
• Perform laundry and follow shift cleaning schedule; assist with meal trays and meal service
• Assist with preparing for and facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned
• Observe residents and report status to appropriate staff; notify changes in physical or emotional condition
• Serve as a mandated reporter and report concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offer pertinent observations and respond to resident and building emergencies

• Less than 1 year of experience
• Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines
• If under 18, must be on the MN NA registry; site must be able to manage restrictions that prevent medication passage or operation of a mechanical lift independently

• 1-3 years of experience
