Hometown Veterinary Partners was founded in 2023 with a mission to empower veterinary professionals by building veterinary hospitals that inspire, uplift, and fulfill. We are seeking full Veterinary Assistants (VAs) to work right where you live in brand-new, bright, and beautiful veterinary hospitals.

A VA at Hometown Veterinary Partners (HVP) is a member of the hospital team and reports directly to the Hospital Director or Partner Doctor. The VA(s) will support our core beliefs of Culture, Collaboration, and Community. You’re empowered to provide exceptional client care that is approachable, accessible, and individualized in your location. Our care teams play important roles, collaborating to achieve successful outcomes and drive advancements in operations, pet care, and client services. We provide services six days/week which include: appointments, scheduled surgeries, and preventative care days.

• Deliver exceptional client service and patient care in every interaction.

Community & Patient Care

• Welcome clients and pets in a friendly, compassionate, and professional manner.
• Assist with patient intake, discharge, appointment scheduling, and client communication.
• Obtain accurate patient histories, vital signs, and weights.
• Safely restrain patients and assist during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform laboratory testing, radiography, nursing care, and technical procedures as permitted by state practice acts.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments as directed by the DVM.
• Monitor, document, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia and sedation procedures.
• Perform dental prophylaxis procedures with accuracy and attention to patient safety.
• Triage emergencies and communicate patient needs effectively to the medical team.
• Educate clients regarding medications, preventive care, nutrition, husbandry, and treatment plans as directed by the DVM.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical records.

Collaboration & Hospital Operations

• Contribute ideas and feedback that support continuous improvement and hospital growth.
