Diesel Mechanic

Overview Egan Company is seeking candidates for a Diesel Mechanic to perform vehicle and equipment repairs specifically focusing on heavy diesel and large truck repairs as directed by the Garage Manager The Diesel Mechanic must provide typical mechanic hand tools with toolbox Performance of duties will be in our repair garage visits to job sites mobile truck service along with roadside work Hours of operation for this role are Monday Friday from 630 am to 300 pm This is full time hourly role Responsibilities Repairdiagnose issues on vehicles and equipment for example Construction Equipment Earth Moving Equipment Bucket Trucks Digger Derrick Trailers Brake Systems Hydraulic Systems Engine Components Drive Train Components Body Components Electrical Systems Weld and Fabricate Perform mediumheavy truck driving and rigging on all vehicles and equipment including those over 26000 GVW Test operate line tricks auger trucks and trenchers

Position Requirements Required High School Diploma or equivalent Required Two year degree or certificate for truck repair from an accredited technical school program Work experience may qualify for this educational requirement At least three years of experience performing maintenance and repairs on dieselmedium heavy trucks and equipment is highly preferred Must provide typical mechanic hand tools with toolbox Must be eligible to obtain a CDL commercial drivers license This position requires passing a DOT Department of Transportation physical drug screening MVR and background check as a condition of employment Qualifications Mobile truck experience Heavy diesel and large truck repairs Strong organizational skills Proficient in the use of computers and standard office software including Google Suite Excellent customer service skills Team player willing to assist others as needed Strong verbal communication skills Ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and reacts to these appropriately Working Conditions Performance of duties in the garage approximately 60 of the time Performance of duties outside of the garage approximately 40 of the time Benefits Perks and Pay Beyond the Industry Standard Egan supports team members and their families with comprehensive benefits From robust healthcare benefits and generous paid time off to flexible working options and career growth opportunities Egan is committed to providing a workplace that helps you thrive both personally and professionally Health and Well being in addition to medical dental vision insurance options flexible spending accounts life insurance short term or long term disability coverage youre offered comprehensive mental healthcare and support for you and your family
