Skills:
- Possess a strong understanding of garage door systems, including mechanical and electrical components. Knowledge of different types of garage doors and openers is essential.
- Have excellent mechanical skills and be comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Install door and associated components as indicated on the work order
- Learn to become efficient at the alignment of tracks, track adjustment, horizontal leveling with slight raise, adequate back hangs, operator arm and photo eye settings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for interacting with customers and explaining installation procedures.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot garage door issues effectively.
- Review Work Order information for accuracy and completeness and address any questions prior to leaving for the jobsite.
- Accurately record on work order any pertinent details of installation, i.e. head room, other issues or problems.
- Be detail-oriented to ensure precise installation and repair work.
- Prioritize safety and follow safety guidelines rigorously to prevent accidents.
- Efficiently manage time and appointments to meet customer needs and deadlines.

EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid class D Drivers License with a clean driving record
- Previous customer service experience a plus
- May be required to obtain various certifications related to assigned area of responsibility.
This job operates in diverse conditions including but not limited to inside and outdoor conditions that can be exposed to the environment. This role routinely uses standard installation tools such as portable hand tools, screwdrivers, hammers, ladders, and other tools used in the installation of an overhead garage door. Outdoor environment; exposure to extreme weather conditions; work with and around vehicles/machinery;
exposure to dust and fumes from motorized equipment; exposure to noise, odors, and gases; exposure to heavy traffic conditions.
