Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Chandler, Arizona. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of accounting processes. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the high-tech engineering industry.

Responsibilities:

- Process and verify accounts payable transactions to ensure timely and accurate payments.

- Perform account coding and maintain consistency across financial systems.

- Utilize accounting software systems and ERP platforms to manage financial data.

- Review and reconcile invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Handle accrual accounting and auditing processes to maintain precise records.

- Manage automated clearing house (ACH) payments and ensure proper documentation.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency.

- Oversee the use of Concur for expense reporting and related functions.

- Support auditing activities and provide necessary documentation for compliance.

- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company standards in all processes. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

- Proficiency in account coding and familiarity with accrual accounting principles.

- Hands-on experience with accounting software systems and ERP platforms.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable functions and auditing processes.

- Experience managing ACH payments and ensuring proper documentation.

- Ability to work with Concur for expense reporting and financial tracking.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
