Staff Accountant

A growing organization in the construction, telecom, and structured cabling space is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its Business Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants exposure to financial reporting, month-end close, forecasting, and operational accounting within a project-driven industry.

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain and support general ledger accuracy and integrity
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Analyze financial results and identify trends or process improvement opportunities
• Assist with AP, AR, cash application, and transactional accounting functions
• Support external audits through documentation and schedule preparation
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems (Workday)
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Construction, telecom, engineering, infrastructure, or structured cabling industry experience
• Experience in multi-state or rapidly growing organizations
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and audit support
• CPA or CPA-track candidates are a plus
